Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in LaTeX, OpenOffice, or Microsoft Word file format.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text .
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • In order to make it easier for authors to work on a LaTeX manuscript, a style file is available on our website, template-latex.zip

Author Guidelines

All submitted articles undergo a review procedure on the principle of double blind peer review and editorial review.

All manuscripts for publication in the journal are checked for plagiarism.

All articles in Advances in Nuclear Science and Applications are published free of charge. The journal does not impose any submission, processing, review, or publication fees on authors.

The editorial board recommends the authors to use the following rules in preparation of their manuscripts for publication in the journal.

Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and relevance of the published research.

The review process includes the following steps:

- Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the manuscript for scope, originality, and compliance with the journal’s requirements.

- Assignment to Editor
A Corresponding Editor is assigned to manage the review process.

- Reviewer Selection
At least two independent expert reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the subject area.

- Double-Blind Review
Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

- Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on scientific quality, originality, methodology, clarity, and relevance.

- Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

* Accept

* Minor revisions

* Major revisions

* Reject

Revision Process
Authors are required to address reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version if applicable.

The journal aims to complete the review process within a reasonable timeframe. All manuscripts are also checked for plagiarism prior to publication by Strikeplagiarism.com system.

RIGHTS OF AUTHORS

The editorial staff encourages the authors:

to post the final version of the article on their personal webpage or on that of the institution to which they officially belong;
to share the article on their social media;   

The authors may use without any restrictions the article in their teaching and research activities.

Terms of publication in the journal

Submitted manuscripts should be written in English and not previously published in any journal  in the field of physics and related topics.

The following information should be placed in the center of the manuscript:

  • Full title of the manuscript in capital letters in bold
  • initials and surnames of the authors
  • full names of organizations, cities and countries where the research was done
  • e-mail address of one of the authors
  • The place of work of the authors should be given in the footnotes

When paper is accepted for review, the authors can monitor the status of manuscript in their personal accounts.

The manuscript should be divided into sections: Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Main body (7–8 pages), Conclusion, Acknowledgement, References.

The Importance of Titles

The main function of the Title is to attract the audience. Therefore, it should be built according to the formula:

  • Attract attention.
  • Designate the target audience.
  • Show why read your article.

Abstract and Keywords

The Abstract is:

  • A summary of the content of the journal manuscript giving the general idea of its theme and structure
  • A time-saving shortcut for busy researchers
  • A guide to the most important parts of your manuscript's written content

Your Abstract should answer these questions about your manuscript:

  • What was done?
  • Why did you do it?
  • What did you find?
  • Why are these findings useful and important?

Acknowledgments

Its purpose is to thank all of the people who helped with the research but did not qualify for authorship (check the target journal’s Instructions for Authors for authorship guidelines). Acknowledge anyone who provided intellectual assistance, technical help (including with writing and editing), or special equipment or materials.

Also, use this section to provide information about funding by including specific grant numbers and titles. If you need to include funding information, list the name(s) of the funding organization(s) in full, and identify which authors received funding for what.

Illustrative materials should be presented in the following formats: for photos and figures –  eps, png or jpg (300 dpi for black-and-white and color photos); for graphs, diagrams, schemes, etc. – exls, cdr. If the figure was taken from the other source, then a reference to the source must be made below it. Illustrations can be placed in the text, but they must be enclosed as separate files with numbered captions.

References – Instructions for Authors 

All references must be formatted consistently. Citations in the text should appear in square brackets [1], [2], … in the order of appearance. For each reference, you must specify the doi.

1. Books

Format:
[No.] Initials. Surname, *Book Title* (City: Publisher, Year) Total pages.

Example:

2. Journal Articles

Format:

3. Conference Proceedings / Collections

Format:

4. Reports and Standards

Format:
[No.] Organization, *Title of Report*, Report Number (Year).

Example:

5. Websites and Online Sources

Format:
[No.] Organization or Author, *Title of the page or document*, Available at: URL (Accessed: Day Month Year).

6. General Rules

  • List all authors if there are ≤3; use et al. if there are more than 3.
  • Journal titles must be given in standard abbreviations (e.g., Phys. Rev. Lett., Nucl. Instrum. Meth. A).
  • Book and report titles should be italicized.
  • For books, always include city and publisher.
  • Page numbers should be given as the first page only or as a range when appropriate.
  • Each reference entry ends with a period.

Information about authors

Authors are required to provide the following information for each contributor:

- Full name (first name and surname)
- Academic degree and academic title (if applicable)
- Institutional affiliation (organization, city, country)
- Position at the institution
- Email address of the corresponding author

The affiliation of each author should be clearly indicated in the manuscript.

 

All manuscripts submitted to the editorial board are reviewed. If necessary, the manuscript can be returned to the author for revision. The date of receipt of the manuscript is the date the editorial board receives its final version. The editors reserve the right to make editorial changes in the text, which do not change the sense of the article.

Manuscripts are published in the order of their submission.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available supports the global exchange of knowledge.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
